How to Measure for Blackout Door Curtains

How to Measure for Your New Blackout Door Curtains

Our New Blackout Door Curtains have a different and more simple way to measure than for all our other curtains on our site because every curtain is 54" in width.

Simply Give Us The Measurement From "Rod to Rod", that's it!

For Outside Mount Sash Rod, Flat Sash Rod, and Magnetic Rod: Simply Measure the Length of Your Glass and ADD 5 - 7 inches. This way the top rod will mount 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 inches above the glass and same below the glass. Your door curtains will be made with a 1" ruffle/header above and below each rod and the rod pockets will be 1-1/4" each. If your rod to rod measurements are (example) 74" then your curtains will be 74" from top rod to bottom rod and there will be a 1" ruffle/header above and below each rod which will give your curtains overall length of 76"

For Inside Mount Spring Rods: Simply give the measurements of the inside window sill area where the rods will be mounting. On the Inside Mount Spring Rod installation, your curtains will be made with a 1-1/4" rod pocket on each end and no ruffle/ header above or below the rod pockets. If your window opening is 63" (example), then your curtains will be exactly 63" from top rod to bottom rod. This will give your Blackout Door Curtains a tight fit and crisp, clean look!
